Requirements for Funding

As per title (XVI) (C) of the Unified Student Code;

 Restrictions on Expenditures: 

(1)               Student Government funds, except with respect to the auxiliary units, shall not be used for the following:


(i)                 Funding a student organization; and

(ii)              Flyers or promotional materials that do not display the words “Sponsored (or Funded) by the Student Government”, or “Sponsored (or Funded) by the SG”; and

(iii)            Stationary that does not display the Seal of the Student Government, or, Logo of the Student Government; and

(iv)            Costs not related to the mission of the Student Government; and

(v)               Alcohol or contraband; and

(vi)            Student housing or a fraternity or sorority, except for community service, professional-based activity, and/or philanthropic activity, and which must be properly publicized and open to all students; and

(vii)          Direct monetary contribution to a non-profit or on behalf of a non-profit; and

(viii)       Support or opposition of a partisan political view, a religious doctrine or belief, or a candidate for public office that is not viewpoint neutral.

Submit any additional documents including invoices, receipts, price quotes, or estimates to the Student Government office to 364 Harding Mott University Center, with the name of your Organization and name of activity.

Rationale for Funding


This binding agreement will hold the organization/department, "we", accountable for abiding to the Student Funding Board Charter, Unified Student Code, and the Constitution of the Student Government.

We hereby authorize Student Government and its members to review this Co-sponsorship Request and investigate all information provided herein. We certify that all information given is true and accurate to the best of our knowledge. We understand that submitting a Co-sponsorship Request is not a guarantee for funding. We also understand that a representative from our organization/department may be asked to appear for a hearing before the Student Government Senate. We further attest that the person who prepared this Co-sponsorship Request has been authorized to do so.
