  • The context in which you teach.
  • Your own interest in the Holocaust and/or other genocides. Here are some considerations.
What aspect of the subject engages you personally?
What studies, books, or films have been integral to your thinking about the Holocaust or Rwanda genocide?
What specific questions you have or areas of interest you would like to pursue.
Are there any areas in Holocaust/genocide study in which you have already developed some expertise?
What do you hope to accomplish as a result of having attended the seminar? What are your goals for yourself as a teacher-scholar and for Holocaust/genocide  education at your school?
