We are excited to once again be offering student internships for Michigan HR Day!
Michigan HR Day provides
human resources (HR) professionals across Michigan an opportunity to exchange
information, ideas, and experiences.
Positioned at a critical time for Michigan
organizations, the event addresses the relevance of the HR function as an
important part of Michigan's
economic gardening and revitalization. Michigan HR Day welcomes HR
professionals and students from diverse Michigan organizations, a true
reflection of the state's business environment and culture.
Basic Information about the Michigan HR Day Student Internships:This year, the planning committee will be searching for two Interns to be a part of 2020's efforts to continue the largest HR conference in Michigan. In addition to the internship the selected candidates will be awarded a $1,000 dollar scholarship. For more information on Michigan HR Day, please visit our website at www.MichiganHR.org.
HR Day board is comprised of a diverse group of human resources professionals
covering many industries and sectors across Michigan. The role of the interns will be to work
alongside each board member to help coordinate planning efforts for the 2020 event. While
both interns will be fully engaged in the areas of marketing, sponsorship outreach, event
services, and many others, one will be named our IT Intern and will primarily be
focused on coordinating informational technological efforts of the 2020 event
including assisting with the Michigan HR website.
selected candidates will begin in late Fall 2020. The committee meets monthly in the Fall, then bi-weekly starting in January. Typically, all meetings are held via conference call from noon-1pm.

The application criteria is as follows:
- Must be a college student attending a Michigan university or college. Preference may be given to a student who is in their junior or senior year.
- Major or minor area of study should be human resources or another study related to the nature of the work of human resources. If
applying for the IT Internship, please provide a description of the IT work you
have performed and how that work relates to an event such as Michigan HR Day.
